2Nd level cities China for business.

A while back Patrick Chovanec has a post on second-tier cities China, entitled "" Radio China: nine Nations and the 2nd-level Chinese cities. "" This position, he examined her interview radio in which he spoke of how companies such as retailers such as Wal-mart, Carrefour, Pizza Hut and KFC were "among the most aggressive in reaching in" beyond of first level cities in China.

Chovanec and then very briefly how writes that "" distinguished really 1st, 2nd and 3rd level cities is the ability to attract investment and international affairs. ""He then note that China has many cities with more than one million inhabitants, including some provincial capitals, which "would not qualify as 2nd level cities."Chovanec continues to write about what distinguishes the second cities who were best at puling in foreign investment from these cities that have been successful not so well in this Department:

It is important to keep in mind the distinction between the hard infrastructure - roads, airports, railways railway - who built the cities of 2nd level and "soft" infrastructure - such as hospitals and foreign - schools needed to attract world leaders and their families.

There is a risk that officials in many cities of 2nd level trying to simply replicate the 1st level such as Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen urban development path. What they want to be thinking, that is how their city or region can carve out a unique niche in the national economy of China. Some cities that have started to think successfully along these lines include Chongqing, Dalian, Hangzhou, as well as Nanning in SW China).

It is quite raison.Il there certainly are some cities bearing second in China that make it relatively easy for foreigners to their hard and soft infrastructure and local governments that are open to the and welcoming foreign companies and there are others are pas.Une list of ten second tier cities where my firm has been the most companies (all of this having driven by our customers), would be comprised of the following:

  • Chengdu
  • Chongqing
  • Dalian
  • Hangzhou
  • Nanjing
  • Qingdao
  • Tianjin
  • Wuhan
  • XI' year
  • Xiamen
This is the top ten second city for foreign firms? I think it's probably.

What do you think?

Update: mea culpa.Je cannot believe even that I've left Suzhou, that error, I realized by seeing the first commentaire.Nous get a ton of work involving Suzhou and I think that the only reason why I left is because I think barely even it as a second city of niveau.Une the reasons why I think just the same as a second city level is because it tends to be of minimum capital requirements for capital over in Beijing and Shanghai to Qingdao or XI' year.
